Το Linoleum είναι ένα υλικό κατασκευασμένο εξ’ ολοκλήρου από φυσικές πρώτες ύλες όπως λιναρόσπορο, ξυλάλευρο, γιούτα, ρητίνες και ασβεστόλιθο. Είναι ανθεκτικό σε βαριά φορτία καθώς και στις αυλακώσεις από μετακινούμενα έπιπλα. Έχει μακρύ χρόνο ζωής και χρηστικότητας είναι υγιεινό από την φύση του αντιστατικό. Απολύτως φιλικό στο περιβάλλον απευθύνεται στην οικολογική συνείδηση του χρήστη. Αναλόγως με την μέθοδο παρασκευής διάφορα χρώματα και σχέδια είναι δυνατόν να επιτευχθούν.
Όσο υπάρχει ήλιος και βροχή θα είναι δυνατή η παρασκευή Linoleum. Το Marmoleum για παράδειγμα είναι προϊόν ανεξάντλητων φυσικών πρώτων υλών. Πρώτες ύλες καρπών της φύσης όπως Λινέλαιο από την Αργεντινή και τον Καναδά, ξυλάλευρο από την Γερμανία και τις Σκανδιναβικές Χώρες, γιούτα από την Ινδία και το Μπαγκλαντές. Ρητίνες από την Ινδονησία και την Κίνα και χρώματα από τη Ευρώπη. Το λινέλαιο και οι φυσικές ρητίνες οξειδώνονται σε μίγμα μέσα στο οποίο αναδεύονται όλα τα υπόλοιπα συστατικά που αναφέραμε και δημιουργούν μία πάστα υλικού που απλώνεται πάνω στα φύλλα γιούτας. Τα φύλλα αυτά που έχουν μήκος χιλιομέτρων απλώνονται σε ειδικά στεγνωτήρια μέχρι το τελικό υλικό να αποκτήσει την τελική σκληρότητα. Τέλος τα φύλλα κόβονται σε ρολά 30 μέτρων και στιλβώνονται. Σε όλη την προαναφερθείσα διαδικασία εντατικός ποιοτικός έλεγχος λαμβάνει χώρα.
